Jim Phillips, President, Retirement Resources Investment Corp.
Jim Phillips, President of Retirement Resources, has been in the investment industry for more than 35 years, the past 17 of which have been focused in the area of qualified retirement plans. Phillips worked for major national investment firms for 14 years prior to going independent in 1990. His firm became a broker dealer in 1999 and registered with the SEC as an Investment Advisor in 2005.
Phillips holds Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 63 and 66 registrations and has successfully completed the Accredited Investment Fiduciary program. Phillips has contributed to two books on 401(k) and his articles have been published in Defined Contribution Insights, PlanSponsor’s (b)lines, and NTSAA’s 403(b) Advisor. His work has been acknowledged with multiple Signature Awards from the PSCA, and he has been named to the 2012 list of Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors, by PlanAdvisor Magazine. Phillips has been a frequent speaker on retirement plans at national conferences, including SPARK, AAO and the PlanSponsor National Conference.
Patrick McGinn, Vice President, Retirement Resources Investment Corp.
Patrick McGinn, Vice President, is a CFA charterholder and has been in the securities industry since 1993. He holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, and in addition to the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. Patrick is also a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analyst Society.
Together with Jim Phillips, Patrick has co-authored a number of articles which have been published in industry publications on topics about managing successful 401(k) and 403(b) plans. Patrick has also been named to the 2012 list of Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors, by PlanAdvisor Magazine and serves, with Jim, as the advisor to the 2011 non-profit Plan Sponsor of the Year by Plan Sponsor Magazine.
