Event: The Northeast Area Benefits Conference, co-sponsored by ASPPA and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), is a one-day, two-city conference focused on employee benefits and pensions. A diverse group of retirement plan professionals—including accountants, actuaries, attorneys, plan administrators and third party administrators (TPAs)—join industry experts and regulatory officials to discuss the latest legislative and regulatory activity, as well as industry and practice trends. The conference will also include a special focus on tax reform, fee disclosure, and definition of fiduciary.
The conference opens in Boston on July 9 and travels to New York on July 10.
Journalists who cover personal finance, pensions, benefits, or retirement issues will hear from top-level practitioners and officials from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), and Department of Labor (DOL).
