Panel Discusses Cash Balance Plans at LABC
The annual Los Angeles Benefits Conference (LABC) was held January 30 – February 1, 2013, in Los Angeles, California. The LABC is unique in that it’s co-sponsored by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) and the Western Pension & Benefits Council (WP&BC).

CHICAGO—This year’s ACOPA Actuarial Symposium kicked off with a rousing start courtesy of Norman Levinrad. Speaking at the Drake Hotel in Downtown Chicago, Levinrad presented to nearly 100 members of the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA). His session was titled “Cash Balance Plans—Design, Testing and New Developments (except that we have none)”.
