ARLINGTON, VA (August 8, 2011)—The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) today announced that Robert M. Richter, APM will serve as ASPPA President for the 2011 – 2012 term. Richter’s term begins at the close of the 2011 ASPPA Annual Conference.

Richter is a vice president at SunGard Relius in Jacksonville, FL where he manages the consulting department— responsible for drafting and supporting qualified retirement plans, cafeteria plans and self-funded health plans. He is a frequent lecturer and author on topics related to cafeteria plans and qualified retirement plans. Richter has served on numerous ASPPA committees and currently serves on the Board of Managers of AIRE, LLC. He is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Council and is a member of numerous associations including The Florida Bar and NIPA. Richter received his B.S.B.A. degree (major in finance) from the University of Florida. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Florida State University and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida.
